Why a connector instead of a custom GPT?

OpenAI is retiring custom GPTs, so we don't build on them. A connector uses the open MCP standard, signs in as you, and works the same way in ChatGPT, Claude and other MCP clients.

Which ChatGPT plans support custom connectors?

That's up to OpenAI and your workspace admin, and it changes over time. If you don't see an option to add a custom or developer connector in Settings, ask your admin whether custom connectors are turned on.

What data can ChatGPT see?

Only what your Spyglasses account can see. The connector signs in as you, so ChatGPT reads the organizations and properties you're a member of and nothing else.

Can ChatGPT change anything in my account?
